Join Dr. Thomas Lamar of Service Above Self Radio for a “Rotary Moment,” as he takes a look back over our community-centric club’s first decade. With the help the presidents who led the charge, Lamar turns back the clock to 2003 and walks the viewer through each and every year to present day — and, in light of the recent passing of our club’s most senior and beloved charter member, Rea Mowery, does it in the spirit of Rea’s Rotary Moments by honoring his commitment of service to Rotary and those who served with him.
Brad Brown Kingston North Kitsap Rotary President 2003-2004
Our North Kitsap Rotary Club is proud to include the community as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary!
Join host Dr. Thomas Lamar as he sets out to interview Each and Every One of the 11 presidents that cast vision and lead our club through its beginning decade.
Up first in our club’s Presidential Interview Series is the man who served the club in its very beginning months as interim president: Mr. Brad Brown (2003-2004).
Join host Dr. Thomas Lamar of the Kingston North Kitsap Rotary Club as he sits down with the president of the Kathleen Sutton Inspirational Fund, Vivi-Ann Parnell — a fund that since 2003 has been providing financial transportation assistance for female patients undergoing cancer treatment in Kitsap, Jefferson, Clallam, and Mason counties in Washington State. Transportation costs for patients undergoing treatment are a huge expense that many women cannot afford. With the Kathleen Sutton Inspirational Fund paying for their ferry tickets, gas, parking, tolls, and other related costs, a huge burden is lifted in their already difficult lives.
Join host Dr. Thomas Lamar as he grabs his mic and heads to a rather “tasty” event that has all of Kingston’s neighbors rolling up their sleeves, bringing their forks, and breaking out their wallets to see a vision to fruition — a vision that looks to build a town-centered hub that connects and strengthens community. It’s the Kingston Village Green, and when it’s done, it will be a place that is both an integrational, multifunctional community center and library, and a park that’s a gathering place for people of all ages.
Join host Dr. Thomas Lamar as he sits down with incoming Kingston North Kitsap Rotary President, Meisha Rouser, to “pop the hood” on what this leader has in store to impact the community and beyond!
It’s that time of year again… Join host Dr. Thomas Lamar of the Kingston North Kitsap Rotary Club as he sits down to chat with the cochair of the 7th Annual Rotary Golf Challenge, Breane Martinez, to not only talk about what is going to make the 7th year one to remember at White Horse Golf Club on June 21, 2013, but to reflect back on the amazing outcome of last year — a year which, theoretically, should have been the worst, but because of the community’s commitment to the ideals and values of Rotary, it was the best. On this episode, we look back to year 6 by going “Man on the Fairway” with Dr. Lamar as everyone braves the elements for Rotary.
Join host Dr. Thomas Lamar as he sits down with the Governor of Rotary District 5020, Judy Byron, to get the 411 on how Rotary Districts support their local clubs and what her vision is for the 2012-2013 Rotary Year.
Join host Dr. Thomas Lamar as he grabs his mic and heads to an event that neighboring Silverdale Rotary Club has swimmingly put on for the past 19 years: The Great Kitsap Duck Race — an event that has not only enabled them to become a staple in their town’s long-standing Whaling Days weekend but has given them, along with 22,000 rubber ducks, a chance to make difference in their community.
Join host Dr. Thomas Lamar as he grabs his mic and heads to neighboring Bainbridge Island to attend what could easily be the largest and longest-standing garage sale on the planet…. a garage sale that not only generates an astounding amount of money for the great local and international projects put forth by the Bainbridge Island Rotary Club, but a garage sale that has literally become a part of the culture of this community.
Join host Dr. Thomas Lamar as he sits down with incoming Kingston North Kitsap Rotary President, Don Hutchins, to get the 411 on what our local Rotary Club is up to and how it is making an impact on the community and beyond!
